An American Plum will grow 18 feet tall & 15 feet wide. Catbird, Brown Thrasher, Robin, and Cardinal are attracted to its fruit. |

The American Arborvitae, also known as eastern white cedar, will grow up to 40 feet tall. This evergreen provides food, shelter, and nesting cover for numerous birds and other wildlife, including white-tailed deer. |

Bald Cypress |
Bald Cyprus grows 60 to 100 feet tall and is able to flourish in wet soil. |

Black Walnut |
Black Walnut grows 70 to 90 feel tall. Its nuts are eaten by Squirrel and Red & Gray Fox. |

Colorado Blue Spruce |
Colorado Blue Spruce grows 75 to 100 feel tall and prefers dry soils. Provides good winter cover for wildlife. |

Bur Oak |
Bur Oak grows 50 to 80 feet tall, likes dry soils, and the acorns are eaten by Turkey, Blue Jay, Grouse, and Wood Duck. |

Eastern White Pine |
The Eastern White Pine will grow up to 100 feet tall and will have a trunk 4 feet in diameter. Eastern White Pines can live to be 400 years old. This tree is a favorite nesting place for many birds. |

Hackberry |
Hackberry trees can reach up to 60 feet tall and have wide spreading crowns. This deciduous broadleaf has a typical life span of 150 to 200 years. Besides providing cover for wildlife, the small berrylike fruit is eaten by small mammals, upland game birds and non-game birds in early to late fall. |

Hazelnut |
Hazelnut grows 10 to 20 feet tall. The shrub is eaten by Squirrel, Chipmunk, Jay, Deer, Grouse, Quail, and Pheasant. |

Highbush Cranberry |
The Highbush Cranberry will grow up to 15 feet tall. This is an excellent bush for the outside row of a wind break and provides wildlife cover. The bush’s fruit is edible. |

Nannyberry |
Nannyberry grows 20 feet tall & 10 feet wide and will need dry, well drained soil. The fruit is eaten by Ruffed Grouse, Ring Necked Pheasant, Cottontail Rabbit, and Gray Squirrel. |

Northern Red Oak |
Northern Red Oak grows 75 to 100 feet tall. It likes dry soils and Turkey, Bluejay, and Ruffed Grouse will eats its acorns. |

Norway Spruce |
Norway Spruce will grow 75 to 100 feet tall. They like moist soils and provide winter cover for a variety of animals. |

Red Cedar |
The Red Cedar is an evergreen that can grow up to 50 feet tall. The reddish brown to gray bark is thin with a shredding appearance. The fruit, bluish in color, is eaten by many birds and mammals. Along with many other birds, Robins and Juncos find nesting or roosting cover amongst these trees. The dense foliage provides excellent protection for wildlife during the winter months. |

Red Maple |
This relatively fast growing tree can reach a height of 60 feet and is typically one of the first trees to show fall color. Though not commonly used, the sap can be collected for maple syrup. Wildlife will eat the seeds, buds, flowers and stump sprouts. The Red Maple also serves as a home for wood ducks and other cavity nesting birds. |

Redosier Dogwood |
Redosier Dogwood grows 7 to 10 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide. It likes moderately wet soils. Cardinal and Ruff & Sharptail Grouse prefer it. |

River Birch |
The River Birch is a medium to large sized tree that will grow 40 to 70 feet tall. As the tree matures, the bark has a scaly characteristic whereas young trees have exfoliating bark. Turkey, grouse and other birds eat the fruit. |

Sugar Maple |
Sugar Maple will grow 90 feet tall. They are grown for their sap to make Syrup. The wood is also used in making of bowling lanes. |

Swamp White Oak |
The Swamp White Oak grows to 60 feet tall and sometimes taller. This species prefers moist to wet acidic soils in full sun, but will adapt to dryer soils with a neutral to slightly alkaline pH. Squirrels, deer, turkey, ducks, and many others feed on the acorns. |

White Oak |
White Oak will grow 80 to 100 feet tall. The tree will also grow to be 50 to 80 feet around. White Oak trees can live to be 500 to 600 years old. The wood is highly sought after for wood working. The White Oak fruit is a source of food for many kinds of wildlife. |

White Silky Dogwood |
The Silky Dogwood is a deciduous shrub that will grow to 10 feet tall with a spread that can reach 10 feet. Yellowish white flowers can be found in mid-June and the bluish colored fruit matures in mid summer. The fruit is quickly eaten by birds and squirrels. This dogwood can adapt to most soil conditions but prefers moist to wet conditions. |
